In this article i will share my slideshow gallery i made for one of my as a freelancer projects. There were sutch requirements:

1. Dynamic number of photos
2. Photos should crossfade withing each other
3. Photos should be managebal from Magento backoffice.

So let's start.

Because of first requirement, photos have to be dynamicaly added and there is no use of timeline at all. Whole slideshow is writeln in AS3. Talking about crosffading it can be done with Bitmap and BitmapData. Because photos have to be dynamicaly changed, flash reads required information from xml. During flash loading i pass flash parameter with path to XML. Working slideshow can be found here
